The Volkl DNX 8 is a power-minded racquet that is surprisingly controlled - delivering an energetic transfer of speed & spin to the ball. The DNX 8 features the new revolutionary DNX material in the 3 and 9 o'clock positions as well as in the cap above the grip. DNX material placed in key regions, combined with a stiffer frame construction in the shaft area produces maximum power in a player's frame.
DNX technology is a unique new material developed by Volkl in cooperation with the Fraunhofer TEG Institute in Germany, that is 25 times stronger than any other mass-produced carbon fiber. DNX is located in three strategic points in the racquet to improve playability. DNX at 3 and 9 o'clock increases torsional stability, allowing for greater control, even off-center hits. DNX is also placed in a cap above the grip to add strength and power to the frame.

great racquet Sep 11, 2006 I got this racquet in spring of 06. its awsome. Volkl really know what they're doign (even tho they aren't as well know as wilson, head, or prince). When i was looking for a new racquet i played w/ every one i could get my hands on. This was the best. the DNX V1 cuz its more expensive so its better right? not really they play almost the same. overall its just a great racquet for everyone from competitive players to ppl who just play for fun. ...oh its also great for lefty players like me... you can get a great deal of spin on serves and ground strokes.. so take advantage of that especially on the AD side of the court where lefties can spin the ball way outside on the backhand right handed players
